Athena is a petite 2-year-old shepherd mix whose owner unfortunately, never came to reclaim her. Athena has been slowly but surely showing us her gentle, thoughtful personality. She can be unsure at first, both with people and in new situations, but with a little patience she warms up beautifully! While she isn't much of a toy player, she enjoys the company of other calm dogs! She may become uncomfortable with overly rough or intense dogs, so a respectful playmate is best. Athena walks nicely on leash, and truly enjoys the company of her human friends. Due to her initial nervousness, she would do best in a home with children 12 and older. Athena is a sweet, sensitive young dog looking for a calm and understanding family to help her continue to blossom.
